My name is Wai Peng. I work in School of Computing, National University of Singapore as a System Engineer. I take care of the network and various services that a network needs to run properly. Prior to this, I was a sysadmin. I graduated from SoC with a B.Comp (CS), and is currently doing my M.Comp (ITPM) in SoC.
I started this blog to document work related stuffs – what we do, why we do it and how we do it. I realised early in my education (before working as a sysadmin/network admin) that there are a lot of tacit knowledge in this field. As a student, I enjoyed reading about other sysadmins blogs and see how they solve problems. I had always hope that one of them will write about their experiences, to give us some insights.
Additionally, this blog is also for me to document some HOWTOs, as I tend to forget things easily. Having a place to refer back will certainly be useful.
Life’s pretty hectic as of right now (2011), but I’ll do the best that I can. Enjoy the blog!
